Pu-erh tea, pronounced poo-air, is made from sun-dried green tea and boasts numerous health benefits. Like a good Champagne Pu-erh tea is only grown in one region of the world, in the Yunnan province of China and derives its name from the County in which it is grown. 

The goodness comes from the microbial post-fermentation executed at higher temperatures, often around 50 degrees, and also in higher humidity conditions. Just as champagne it varies in price depending on the vintage. 

In Chinese, Gong Ding means imperial and Jin Hao means golden hair. The Shou tea is of the highest quality and we've found one of the best - affordable and top quality. 

200g Cake Leaves were picked in 2008 and compressed into a tea cake in 2018 

100g Cake - Leaves were picked in 2009 and compressed into a tea cake in 2019
